Lemieux Painting is a family-owned and operated interior/exterior painting services company in Chesterfield, Michigan. James Lemieux, the owner, started painting when he was 15 years old. His elder brother Mike was in the trades, but James always wanted to be a part of something people looked at and were amazed with. His father owned a commercial glass company where one of his elder brothers, Jerry, worked. James was too young to be able to carry and install the big sheets of glass, so at 16, he started working for the first company, out of two, that he worked for as a student painter.
After learning the basic skills, James moved to a smaller family-owned and operated business, where he worked from 19 to 25. James aimed to one day start a business on his own. When the company owner he was then working for asked him about his plans, he told him about his plan to have a business of his own. The owner did not encourage his idea.
Although this thought stopped him from pursuing that dream for years due to the bad management where the homeowners were ill-treated at the company he was working for, he started Lemieux Painting in 2015.
James had no idea or plans on how things would go, but he always focused on treating homeowners with dignity and respect. This behavior has paid off well, and James shares great relationships with all his clients. Some of his clients, who he has known for years, are his friends.
James and his brother Jerry work together, striving to be better at what they are doing. They implement new and old technology to ensure every home gets the best possible finish possible.
